Camille Zapata (she/her/ella) is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of effective communications development and strategy. She has crafted and administered eye-catching social media content designed to direct users toward pathways for further civic engagement. Camille has a demonstrated history as a strong operations professional and political campaign manager. In these tenures, she has been intentional about creating a positive learning environment for personal/professional growth, success, and fulfillment through creating a culture of pride in organizational values and creating measurable goals for motivating team success. She currently sits on the board of the California Women's List and serves as the board's Special Projects Manager and is the elected Treasurer for Young Democrats of San Joaquin. Camille most recently served as the Program Manager for the Civic Engagement and Political Empowerment at the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women. She has since returned to the Central Valley and opened a political consulting firm to build capacity for organizing efforts and electoral politics.

Managed the fiscal and programmatic success of a $4.6 million dollar general funds portfolio consisting of 15 grant lines with the goal of getting women, girls and nonbinary people actively participating at all levels of government and the development of a guaranteed income pilot project and microgrants program aimed at supporting system impacted women and women impacted by domestic violence

Served as San Joaquin County's first Latina Chief of Staff for Supervisor Kathy Miller, third woman elected to serve on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors.

Campaign Manager, Susan Talamantes Eggman for State Senate 2020

Campaign Manager/ Communications Director 

Successfully managed race for Asm. Susan Talamantes Eggman, first openly LGBTQ+ Latinx woman elected to the CA State Senate. Responsible for aspects of the campaign including, but not limited to candidate filing, day-to-day operations, the hiring, training, and management of staff, creating and managing campaign budget, interactions with the media, developing content, graphics and storyline for all social media platforms, and developing a comprehensive plan that includes digital voter outreach/canvassing and traditional door knocking and phoning in order to ID voters. Developed a thorough field staff and field director training curriculum.
